Lot 9 Brewing Co. in Bluffton plans to open this summer. The nano-brewery, located on Red Cedar Street, brews in small batches for fresh quality, according to its website. The brewery is looking for food trucks that will park at the establishment on a rotating schedule. For more information call 843- 757-5689 or use Facebook messenger. 

Restaurant Group employees who been laid off or were working reduced hours helped Second Helpings on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton load rescued food and distribute it to local food pantries. The partnership was funded through the Lowcountry Community COVID-19 Response Fund, a fund of Community Foundation of the Lowcountry and the Long Cove Charitable Fund.

Chez Georges Bistro & Bar, which serves a French bistro cuisine with local ingredients and flavors, plans to open on Hilton Head Island’s New Orleans Road this summer, according to its website. The hours are to be determined 

Located in Main Street Village on Hilton Head Island, Pizza Co. was founded with the idea that finding a pizza that’s both fast and delicious should be easy. In a wood-fired pizza oven, they bake individual, customized 10” pies at record speed. As many toppings as you want are included in the set price of $9.95 per pizza. Choose your crust and then select from fresh ingredients including artisanal mozzarella, garlic-infused olive oil, spinach, mushrooms, bacon, roast chicken and more. Pizza Co. also serves fresh chopped salads that are fully customizable. If you aren’t close to Main Street, don’t worry—Pizza Co. has a food truck in Bluffton. Look for it on S.C. 46 across from Bluffton Village.

Nunzio Restaurant + Bar is wowing diners on New Orleans Road on Hilton Head Island. The restaurant opened in summer 2019 and word has spread about this beautiful new upscale eatery.

The restaurant’s owner, Nunzio Patruno, formerly owned the successful New Jersey restaurant Nunzio Ristorante Rustico.

A 1,300 square-foot kitchen is part of the total transformation of 18 New Orleans Road— a former Reebook Crossfit gym—into a restaurant with great ambiance, superior service and delicious food. It has seating for 200 people including a large bar area and two outdoor seating areas.

The specialty Italian market at Michael Anthony’s has moved to a new location across the courtyard from the restaurant. Now in a newly renovated and larger space they offer an expanded selection of Italian imported specialty products, fresh pastas made daily, and prepared take out Italian favorites. They also offer enhanced catering services in your private home or villa.

New seafood restaurant, Slapfish, opened March 7 at 1024 William Hilton Parkway near Sea Pines Circle. Serving “honest flippin’ seafood” infused with lots of flavor. Known for offering healthy, affordable, chef-crafted food, Slapfish’s cravable menu features shrimp, fried or grilled fish served in sandwiches, tacos and salads, along with New England clam chowder and fish and chips. Be sure to try their lobster roll, a specialty dish they are known for.

Vine, an intimate bistro in Coligny Plaza, now is owned by a French family. Chef Olivier specializes in Mediterranean flavors with a hint of Asian fusion. The décor is heavy on hardwoods and reminiscent of a speakeasy as diners eat by candlelight. Vine has been called “the most romantic place on Hilton Head Island.”

Enjoy wine from around the world and specialty martinis as you dine on produce sourced from local farms, fresh catch of the day and recipes from Italy, France and other countries.
